The Bend Experience: July 2008.

Redding was getting too smoky for our tastes, so we lit off to Bend, Oregon. The inn we stayed at was on the Deschutes River. Teeming with wildlife, sitting on the patio we had a hard time remembering that this was the city.


A year round swan rules that section of the river.


The swan treated Larry to her butt.


A magnificent buck in velvet on the other side of the river.


Bend has lots of art downtown.


A day trip included Lava Butte...


a short detour to Paulina Falls...


before ending up at Glass Mountain.


Mt. Bachelor reflected in a lake.


We took in an Arts and Craft Fair.
